Today, on June 23, 2024, a historic day for the Muslim community in Balotra, as a modern English medium school and hostel for girls has been inaugurated in Badnawa Jaageer. This facility will provide a safe and supportive environment for minority Muslim girls to live and study.
The school is named Desert Rose International School for Girls and Jamia Maimuna Hostel, operated by Ummul Momeenin Maimuna Educational Welfare Society in Badnawa Jaageer. This girls' school and hostel was completed with the support of community members, philanthropists, and political leaders.
The inauguration ceremony was presided over by Peer Saiyyad Bapu Gulam Husain Shah Jilani, with the participation of MP Ummedaram Beniwal, Ex Minister Harish Choudhary, Ex Minister Hemaram Choudhary, Ex Minister Goparam Meghval, , Ex MLA Padma Ram, and various dignitaries. Thousands of men and women also took part in this historic event.
